Nicholas J. Barlow is 18 years old, hailing from The Black Country, on the outskirts of Birmingham. He is a proud Brummie. Along with being an A-level student, he is a Poet, Podcaster, and Entertainer with an emphasis on getting the most out of life.
From a young age, Nicholas has been interested in the creative arts – being a member of Stageworks in Aldridge when he was 8 years old. It is known in the public realm that he is a poet and podcaster; however, his interests lie in other areas too… At GCSE, he took Drama, Computer Science, and History (for his option subjects). Along with being a Cadet Corporal in the RAF Cadets, he has attained the Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze & Silver Awards. He is currently studying for A-levels in Drama & Theatre Studies, IT, and Government & Politics.
However, being a Sixth Form student is not what defines him.
Along with his creative endeavours, he is a Team Leader for student run business consultancy House Hack. Being the youngest Team Leader in the organisation, founded by Loughborough University graduates Ryan McGee & Charlie Rogers, has allowed him to learn very quickly that age is just a number (unless legality is involved). Within the role, he helps to run hackathons, by hosting and leading the events with others in the organisation and writes blogs about business and strategy. And he is in the Prospect 100 for Innovation 2020.
Previously, he was a Brand Advisor, and Business Partner with comedian and magician LXKE TRIX (Luke Trix).

Nicholas now brands himself as a Podcaster, after starting The Unscripted Podcast. at the start of 2020, just in time for Covid-19 to come and seal his fate of interviewing highly interesting people from the creative and entertainment sector. Some of the guests he has had on in the past 3 series include Simon Cox, Michael Fenton Stevens, and Alfie Templeman.
Nicholas is a poet and creative at heart. With an ever-growing anthology, which is known as Poetry for Modernity, he is known as a poet. His poetry has led him to being featured in Stafford Space Station’s Summer Poetree Collection, being crowned a winning entry in the WHD’s Covid Times Poetry Competition, and having his poetry featured in by Birmingham Hope Radio.
Nicholas is always open to hear your thoughts on anything in the creative realm. Feel free to contact him!
